Now Live
Blurb:
One life-changing summer.
One boy.
The boy.
The boy who offered me safe touches and heart-stopping smiles - smiles he shared with his son.
We filled our days with porch-step kisses,
filled our ears with laughter,
filled our hearts with love.
Deep, soul-aching, desperate love.
But love is misleading.
It’s an invisible, fleeting moment.
Somewhere between false adoration and pure hatred comes an emotion, a vulnerable need, a single desire.
It lives within the ones who miss it, who crave it,
who know better than to expect it.
Love is relentless.
Even when that love turns to hate, turns to loathing,
turns to pain.
Love should heal you.
But it can also break you.
Believe me, I know…
Because I'm Becca Owens - a broken girl…
…And he's Josh Warden - the boy who broke me.

How do you go back to reality after a story like this? I lost myself so deep in this book. I couldn't put it down for even a second, i read it so slowly because i just wasn't ready for Becca and Josh's story to end.
This was my most anticipated read of 2016. After finishing Kick Push and being so invested in those characters i couldn't wait to get my hands on this book. When it finally showed up on my kindle i didn't dive straight in, i had to prepare myself because i just knew from past experience with Jays books that it'd be such an emotional rollercoaster. No amount of time could of prepared me for the emotions and the twists and turns of this story. Jay Mclean NAILED this sequel, i felt everything!! Yes everything, I laughed, cried, smiled through my tears and then cried a hell of alot more. God i LOVED this book, adore everything about it.
I met a girl with Raven dark hair and eyes the colour of emeralds
Coast picks up right where Kick, Push ended. The meeting of Josh and Becca after so much time apart. The minute i read the first chapter i was thrown straight back in to the emotional journey these characters have been on, I felt like i had suffered with them.
I kicked and i pushed, and for the last year, thats all ive been doing because it didnt feel the same and i knew in my heart that without her, id never be able to coast
Josh Firetrucking Warden!!! Not in the slightest the typical asshole alphas you read about. Nope caring, single dad who's heart and soul is taken by one girl. I loved getting to see more of josh, seeing where his life had went and who he met along the way. I absolutely ADORE his relationship with Tommy. Gah i freaking love that little boy, he's such a breath of fresh air in between everything that happens.
Im Becca Owens- a broken girl. And he's Josh Warden- the boy who broke me
Becca Owens has had such a horrible life, my heart broke for her throughout Kick, Push and even more so in Coast. She met Josh and Tommy and found happiness, she found love after thinking she never would. Then she hit rock bottom, Gah this girl has worked so hard to fix the pieces of her life back together and comes out stronger on the other side. She's so much stronger and has so much more courage than she did in Kick, Push and im in awe of how far she's come.
Josh and Beccas jourmey isn't an easy one. It's long, emotional and sometimes you just cant see a happy ending. I'd love to be able to say its smooth and everything is sunshine and rainbows but i'd be lying. Sometimes its down right heartbreaking, but i love that we get to see them grow together. That we get to see the characters we fell in love with become so much more and figuring everything out together. Although it may be heartbreaking its so damn beautiful.
I’m here now, and I’m not letting you go until I give you everything I am … And if it’s still not enough, if you still won’t believe me, then I’ll keep trying. Over and over. Until you realize that you could have come to me shattered, broken, in an infinite of pieces, and I would’ve made you whole. I would have loved you. Every damaged piece of you. In all ways and for always
Their journey was bumpy and it was sad just as much as it was beautiful and those moments where they are truly happy makes all the tears worthwile. Their love and the way they fought for each other whilst battling everything else thrown at them was amazing. Don't for one moment whilst reading this that you know whats going to happen. You dont! Its an emotional story of Love, Loss, Heartbreak, Guilt, Family and friends. Most importantly finding a way to move forward after so much.
After all the sad tears im so glad the ending and the oh so perfect epilogue i did not expect at all had be crying buckets of happy ones. I finished this story and just put my kindle down and sighed, So happy for the characters but so damn sad its over. Jay Mclean couldnt have wrote a better sequel if she tried. I felt everything these characters felt, i suffered with them, laughed with them i finished this book completely exhausted from all the emotions.
Its an amazing feeling when a book hits your all time favourite reads list, this story will stay with me forever. Another Brilliantly beautiful read from an amazingly talented and beautiful author.
