Into The Tomorrows

Blurb:
I was born in sadness, which was just the beginning of a solemn and desolate life. I'm no stranger to pain—none of us are. The night I held my best friend's hand as she died, I understood true agony. And I never thought I'd feel happiness again. But that was so long ago…
Moving to Colorado to be with Colin, my high school sweetheart, was the perfect way to start over and rekindle what had begun to fizzle. I wanted that spark to ignite, to burn in passion and desire. Instead, I found myself falling for Jude, my boyfriend's roommate. He’s the only person who understands my soul, who can breach the walls I’ve built. But I can't have him.
Because I'm Trista Kohl, and my destiny is sorrow.

Author Bio:
Whitney Barbetti is a mom to two and a wife to one, living in eastern Idaho where she spends her days writing full time and keeping her boys from destroying her house. She writes character-driven new adult and contemporary adult romances that are heavy on the emotional connection. You'll most likely find her curled up with a good book and a giant glass of wine, with Queen playing through her headphones.
My Review:
๐๐๐๐
"Love isn't worth the heartache it leaves behind.
Don't fall in love.
You'll lose all your happiness"
Okay. I have no idea where to start with this.
I LOVE Whitney Barbettis words, all of them. Her ability to take 26 letters and mix them around to create something so beautiful and consuming stuns me. The way she can start a book and have me dragged in and crying before the second chapter? Amazing.
Ten below Zero was one of my favourite reads by this author and one of my most cherished books ever but lets stop and take a minute because Into the Tomorrows has just fucking topped it!!!! Yes i devoured this book, i loved the slow pace of it and how there was so much detail and so many feels in each and every chapters. FUCK...i havent read an ending chapter that intense in forever. I was on the edge of my seat, tears may have been involved. When it ended...well i spemt 5 minutes tapping my screen hoping it wasnt over. OH MY GOD that ending!!!
Trista.. Oh girl, my heart broke for you so many times. Trista moves to colorado to be with her boyfriend, empty and alone after a tragic event. Not sure where her relationship is going she takes the chance.
Jude Sigh MINE. DIBS. I WANT HIM!!! Jude is Trista's new roomie. Somewhat a geek and always there for her. Some would call their meeting fate. Call it what you will, these characters together are beautiful and all consuming. Jude helps Trista, he's her shoulder to cry on and her only friend since Ellie. Somewhere amongst there time together feelings develop and whilst finding herself she also finds something so much more in Jude.
I loved everything about this book, its a story of love, guilt, heartbreak and an adventure of finding your true self. I cried, im sure somewhere i laughed and smiled through my tears too.
These characters are everything. I felt everything they did, it was like i was right there alongside them. It was the moments where they were sat with simple conversation or sat in silence that i loved them the most. The moments where their souls were bared to each other without saying anything. This story gripped me and wouldnt let go, it was so raw and oh so real.
I’m not ready for you
There is no doubt your heart will break when you meet Trista, the broken girl with sad eyes.
But you feel so much more when she meets the one person that is willing to do anything to give her what she is hungry for.
Please wait for me, Because I will come back for you
Despite this book not being a standalone, it is by far one of my favourites this year. Cliffhanger yes, but not one that leaves so much unanswered. Please dont put this book off until book two is released, its worth reading right now!!
I havent read a book by Whitney Barbetti that hasnt caused me to cry and feel all the damn feels.
I need book 2 like RIGHT NOW!!! Im not above begging ;)
Its beautiful. Its raw. Its everything.
