"Lyrical, heartbreaking, and emotionally intense, A THOUSAND LETTERS is a beautiful portrait of an undying love that deserves a second chance."
Blurb
Sometimes your life is split by a single decision.
I’ve spent every day of the last seven years regretting mine: he left, and I didn’t follow. A thousand letters went unanswered, my words like petals in the wind, spinning away into nothing, taking me with them.
But now he’s back.
I barely recognize the man he’s become, but I can still see a glimmer of the boy who asked me to be his forever, the boy I walked away from when I was young and afraid.
Maybe if he’d come home under better circumstances, he could speak to me without anger in his voice. Maybe if I’d said yes all those years ago, he’d look at me without the weight of rejection in his eyes. Maybe if things were different, we would have had a chance.
One regretted decision sent him away. One painful journey bought him back to me. I only wish I could keep him.
*A contemporary romance inspired by Jane Austen’s Persuasion*

“I love you. You love me.
Everything else is details."
From the minute I heard about this book, I knew i'd love it. There was no doubt in my mind that Staci would create another beautiful story, one that would elicit a bunch of different emotions and completely blow me away.
I loved this book, The beauty and joy that she managed to create in a story full of sadness and heartache has left me speechless and in complete awe of the magic that lies within her words. Each heartbreaking moment accompanied by a moment that will soothe your heart and slowly start to piece it back together all whilst its still breaking. It's a work of pure poetry, one that I am so glad i got to experience.
“Hold on to the things that breathe life into you. Listen to your soul and honor what it tells you. Live. Fight for what you love.”
Elliot and Wade were childhood sweethearts, love at first sight. They had their whole lives planned until Wade leaves for the army and Elliot doesn't follow. Seven years apart filled with so much pain and regret between them. Wades return is not in the best of circumstances. His father is dying and he has to come home and face it, along with facing the woman that haunts his every thought. Elliot.
“Her name in my mind was a curse I couldn't escape, a ghost that haunted me day after day, year after year since I'd seen her last so long ago.”
It's been years since they last seen one another and when Wade returns they have no choice but to spend time together. Meetings full of heartache and regret, reading about them together was so raw and intense but so damn beautiful and sad. You can feel everything they're feeling and god if it doesn't slowly rip your heart apart. Along with feeling they're sadness and guilt over eveything, you can feel the love still lingering between them. A love that both of them are too scared to admit is still there.
“It felt like yesterday. It felt like another lifetime. It felt like I relived the moment every single day.”
I'm going to stop rambling now. I don't want to give the story away. I will say though, this couple. This whole story really took my breath away, It slowly destroyed my heart and repaired it all in one moment. It may not be Staci's usual writing style but it's just as amazing as anything she's written. Its not a hearts and flowers romance it's a beautifully heartbreaking love story between two souls that are meant to be.
“I’ve never understood why the heart always reacts. A shot of adrenaline is all it takes, triggered by a thought. A word. A memory. And every time the reaction is singular, a fingerprint of a moment."
I fell in love with these characters, i was captivated with every word and i thoroughly enjoyed everything about this book. Even having my heart broken. A Thousand Letters is a truly unforgettable story full of love, loss and forgiveness and has rightfully earned its spot as my favourite Staci Hart novel.
About The Author
Staci has been a lot of things up to this point in her life -- a graphic designer, an entrepreneur, a seamstress, a clothing and handbag designer, a waitress. Can't forget that. She's also been a mom, with three little girls who are sure to grow up to break a number of hearts. She's been a wife, though she's certainly not the cleanest, or the best cook. She's also super, duper fun at a party, especially if she's been drinking whiskey.
From roots in Houston to a seven year stint in Southern California, Staci and her family ended up settling somewhere in between and equally north, in Denver. They are new enough that snow is still magical. When she's not writing, she's reading, sleeping, gaming, or designing graphics.
