This is the first book ive read by Staci Hart and let me tell you ill be going right back and reading whatever else i can get my hands on. I ate this book up, seriously Cam is my spirit animal. Whisky drinking comic book geek. We could be best friends!! Hell im claiming her as my book bestie ;)
Cam is just so real, she isnt perfect and i love that about her. She suffers anxiety and is insecure. Constantly feeling like she isnt good enough. Im pretty sure so many females can relate with that. Right?
I loved this book and how Staci Hart took the 26 letters in the alphabet, rearranged them and created something absolutely amazing. I devoured this book.
Her characters are so real, so authentic that you feel yourself wanting to live with them, become their friends and just dive inside her stories and live there.
Cam is the nerdy bookworm.
Cam is by her own admission Matchmaker.
Setting everyone up, from her friends to strangers in her bar.
Tyler is her Ex footballer roomate.
Spending all of his time with Cam.
Cam has feelings for him but doesnt think shes good enough so plays it off, Tyler has feelings for her but cant quite work out if she feels the same. (Confusing right?)
So Cam does what she does best and sets him up with what she thinks is the perfect girl, swallowing her jealousy and pretending as if nothings wrong. BEST THING SHE EVER DID!!!
Tyler finally realises he cant pretend anymore.
Will they end up together? Will Cams anxiety ruin everything? Will Tyler fight for what he wants? Wont ruin it, just read it!!!
Friends to Lovers...one of my favourite Genres. I love how tyler isnt your typical alpha arsehole, I cant recommend this book enough. It was so refreshing to read, so real and absolutely amazing. I cant wait to read more from this author.
About the Author
Staci has been a lot of things up to this point in her life: a graphic designer, an entrepreneur, a seamstress, a clothing and handbag designer, a waitress. Can't forget that. She's also been a mom, with three little girls who are sure to grow up to break a number of hearts. She's been a wife, even though she's certainly not the clean-est, or the best cook. She's also super, duper fun at a party, especially if she's been drinking whiskey. Her favor-ite word starts with f and ends with k.
From roots in Houston, to a seven year stint in Southern California, Staci and her family ended up settling somewhere in between and equally north, in Denver. They are new enough that snow is still magical. When she's not writing, she's sleeping, cleaning, or designing graphics.
