Okay, so this is the first book i've read by Jennifer Ann. *Hangs head* i will be reading the first book in this series, obviously i've been missing out.
It was AMAZING, i LOVED this story and oh my shit ALL THE DAMN FEELS. Seriously parts of this book had me wanting to cry my eyes out, sometimes in sadness others with pure fucking happy tears.
I absolutely adore James and Sharlo. They meet again after pure tragedy strikes the Kendall family, James is Evelyns older brother and Sharlo is her best friend. When they arrive back at Evelyns family home and Sharlo sets eyes on the hot as fucker fighter the passion between them explodes. I won't give to much away because there is so much to this story i DID NOT FUCKING EXPECT!!!
I can't explain how much i love every character in this book, there is so much love and so many feels inside these pages i had to take a few minutes every now and then to take a breath and just reflect on what i'd read. I was nearly sobbing by the end of the first chapter and as i read on that wasnt the only time my eyes leaked a little. Sharlo is so damn sassy and i love that shes a fiesty little brit and James HOLY FUCK how intense is he!!! Yet with little butterfly he is a completely different man. This book was emotional to say the least, i felt so much. I laughed and cried, i got pissed and then there was that one unexpected chapter that BLEW ME THE FUCK AWAY!!! i couldn't get a grip on my emotions reading it, a situation so similar happened in my life and it hit home and boy did i cry not only for the characters but for the fact it felt like i was experiencing that part of my life all over again. *Shit, im crying again*
This story was gripping, i devoured every word. I really didn't want it to end, i felt like i was living inside those pages with those characters. If you want a soulful, funny but emotional read this is the book for you. Im so excited to go back and read the first book.
Jennifer Ann has taken the alphabet and transferred it into something beautiful. I have fallen head over heels with this story, with James and Sharlo. That ending couldn't have been any more bloody perfect. Im so happy i took a chance on a new author, shes turned out to be one of my favourites.
