The Wind Dragons MC. One of my favourite MC series. I literally read all the other books in preparation for this.
I have loved every book in this series, so of course I went in with high expectations. Rake didn't disappoint, Infact I think he may be my favourite.
Chantal fernando is brilliant, her way with words is just pure genius. From the characters to the plot you just can't do wrong with her books.
Rake and Baileys story is a second chance romance. They're happy and in love, until one night ruined everything. One mistake ripped away everything they had.
Fast forward.....Bailey is out and bumps into some old friends, leading her to bump into the man that she's tried to avoid for many years. Blindsided by this meeting neither of them were prepared for, the reunion is anything but pleasant.
Rake is trying his best to convince everyone he hates Bailey, most importantly trying to convince himself. After a shitty situation takes place, they're thrown together so he can keep her safe. Numerous run ins, having mutual friends and then being around each other 24/7, it gets harder and harder for them to pretend. Especially after Rake finds out that night that broke his heart was a complete misunderstanding, he can't keep his feelings at bay and neither can Bailey.
Will they be able to work through their troubles before moving forward and being together? I'll let you find out.
I adored these characters, Rake is your typical ,man whore asshole alpha so the fact that we got to see such a softer side to him had me falling head over heels, ass over elbow in love with even more. Those moments when these characters are vulnerable and baring everything were just perfect. Seeing him with Baileys daughter was beautiful, GAH! I just love everything about this couple.
I'm so glad the rest of the Wind Dragon characters from previous books were a big part of this story. I LOVE every single one of them. Getting to see the bond between all the characters and catching up with the other couples totally made this book for me. I've always loved Faye, so seeing more of her made me giddy with happiness!! This is most definitely one series and set of characters I'll stay with until the end.
It's an MC series so everyone probably expects blood and violence aha yes you get some but not so much in this book and it really didn't bother me as much as it usually would. I was happy to just catch up with the characters and see a deeper side to all of them. I was dragged I'm from the first chapter, devoured every word and I'm so glad we finally got to meet the lady that caused our rake to be who he was.
It's no joke when I say, The day this series ends, my heart will break.
